Maybe you have spent 10+ years of your life trying every diet out there, and sometimes you have had great success! But then something happens and you "fall off the wagon" - it seems like a never-ending cycle and leaves you frustrated and hopeless.
You understand - finally! - that there is no "quick fix" to losing weight. You have lost faith in dieting. Yet you still have your eye on the prize - weight loss. But you have no clue how to obtain this without dieting. You are starting to think permanent weight loss isn't possible for you.
Maybe you have finally lost the weight you always wanted to lose, but you still obsess about what you "should" or "shouldn't" eat. And stepping on the scale causes major anxiety. If the number goes up, you can't help but think you are just doomed to gain the weight back.
You take a completely different approach to weight loss.
You dive deep into your relationship with you, food, and your body.
You unravel all the years of "programming" that have left you feeling like weight loss and peace with food is impossible.
You uncover why you continue to do things that push you "off the wagon".
Think about it this way, if the lights kept going out in your home every night, would you just keep investing in candles and flashlights and hope one day the lights will stay on? No! You would want to know why this is happening so you could fix it for good. You wouldn't settle for less, would you?
During our six months together, we will uncover your "why" for the way you treat food and your body. This is the secret to long-term weight loss and peace with food.
I will be teaching you, coaching you, and helping you get through roadblocks that once sent you off-track. You will learn valuable tools and techniques that you can use in every area of your life.
Let the "Mean Girl" Go - Treating yourself in a kinder way is the key to peaceful and permanent weight loss. You will learn how to stop being so mean to yourself. Why? Because you can't hate yourself thin (and you already know this). Replace being mean and judgmental about your weight with being kind and curious. Learn how to end the "guilt-shame-eat" cycle and much more so you can end the self-sabotage, eliminate the drama, and stop beating yourself up.
Always Hungry or Always Full - In order to lose weight, you have to stop overeating. You will learn the #1 tool to eliminate overeating. Learn how to leave the nasty habits behind for good (like late night snacking and eating unconsciously or compulsively). Develop a new, trusting relationship with your body. You will start to feel less anxious about food and when and what to eat, and more relaxed and in control.
What & How to Eat - Scrap any ideas of how you think you should be eating, and start focusing on what works for your body (because everyone's body has different needs). You will experiment with different foods and how they feel in your body. In the end, you will create your very own food plan based on what you enjoy eating and what benefits your body.
Take Back Your Power Over Food - If you have ever dieted, then you probably categorize food into "good" or "bad" and judge how your day is by what you eat. Categorizing your food and judging yourself based on what you eat often leads to bingeing on the foods that you judge as bad for you. You will examine how you view different types of food so that you can shift your perception of food and no longer feel deprived. You will feel more in control around food and start choosing foods based on whether you like the taste of them or not, instead of viewing them as "good" or "bad".
Stop the Self-Sabotage - You may have thoughts like "I will never lose weight" and "I have no control over food." These thoughts keep you stuck in the same old habits that get in the way of your weight loss. In order to make lasting change, you need a new way of thinking that will give you the results you want. You will uncover the thoughts that lead to you "falling off the wagon". You will create a new belief system that creates peace and ease around losing weight.
Tackling Emotional Eating - If you aren't experiencing true hunger, then you are eating out of emotion. You will learn how to recognize your emotions, not ignore them, and manage them so you are not pushing them away with food. Once you start to understand your emotions better, your desire to eat when you are not hungry will lessen.
How to Make Exercise a Priority - Exercise plays an important part in your self-confidence, body image, weight loss, weight maintenance and overall health. You will eliminate "all or nothing" thinking you have been carrying around related to exercise, and diminish old beliefs about what exercise should look like for you. You will create an exercise plan that feels manageable, attainable, and most importantly, fun - for you.
Making this Last for the Long-Run - Life isn't always easy and it doesn't always go according to plan. That's why it's important to have a solid plan (and back-up plan) in place for when times get rough. You will create a personalized "toolkit" that you can rely on to help you carry out your plans and live your new lifestyle with ease. You will also identify the goals you have for yourself and create a plan to achieve them. You will have a clear vision for what you want for your life that is exciting, exhilarating, and totally doable!
An ease around food. Foods that you once couldn't control yourself around will have little power over you.
Self-trust and confidence. Decisions that once felt like they were being fueled by discipline and will-power will feel effortless and easy.
Elimination of habits that keep you stuck. You will no longer find yourself snacking in front of the TV for hours, or eating a whole large pizza...just because.
A friendlier relationship with yourself. Instead of criticizing yourself and being your own worst-enemy, you will have compassion and empathy toward yourself. And since you can never really "get away" from yourself, this makes life a lot more enjoyable. Besides, you deserve to be treated well.
An understanding of your body and how it works. You will be able to listen to what your body needs when it comes to food and because of this, your body will thank-you by presenting you with weight loss.
Belief in yourself. You will create a new belief system that will keep you motivated and on-track when times get tough. This new way of thinking will help you handle any problem or area in your life that causes you stress - not just weight loss.
Weight loss. Yes, you will lose weight. If you do the work, weight loss will follow.
